Growing up my family always played games. We played board games, card games, domino game.  We love games.  It came from both sides of my family.  At my grandma’s house down in South Texas it was not unusual to have two games of 42 (domino game based on suits) going.  On my mom’s side,  my grandparents would get together every weekend with my mam-maws sisters and their husbands to play Spades or dominos. 

My family seems to go through seasons when it comes to games.  We have a favorite that we will play over and over and then we will find a new game and play that for a while.  One of our favorites that we come back to over and over is Joker.  It is a combination of Sorry and cards with partners. 

 Over Thanksgiving, Dennis and I picked up an Apples to Apples game.  We played this game all weekend with Dennis’ family.  We had so much fun!

Last night we had Dennis’ brother, Peter and his girl, Shelia over for dinner.  They brought a game with them.  The game was Bang! The Bullet.  It is a shoot’em out western card game with characters, varying rule, weapons, etc.  It was so much fun.  Peter and Shelia stayed until 2 a.m. 

I think I just our next “new game”.
