Last night I received a text from Charlie Lujan via Twitter (www.twitter.com–  great way to keep in touch with people!) that Bishop Phillips was preaching (what he does is definitely PREACHING as opposed to speaking) in Alexandria, LA and the service was available on-line.  So we tuned in.

We didn’t get to hear the entire service but at the end a man stood up and spoke and said, “It is time time for the church to stop entertaining and start equipping.” This statement struck me.  It is time that Christians begin to use their God-given gifts for the Kingdom.  It’s time…

You know…it’s not a coincidence that I read this today. I was just speaking to Pastor about not being fruitful. I handed him over a list of my gifts and asked him to use them in our church
for the glory of God. My talents are being hidden by titles and certifications. It is time to start using them for His kingdom.

  2. Erica, I’ve felt very unproductive recently as well. It often feels as if I am hitting a brick wall. Lately, I’ve taken a step back and am waiting for others to come to me. Not sure if it is the right thing to do….
