God is not a man, that he should lie,
nor a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act?
Does he promise and not fulfill?
I have received a command to bless;
he has blessed, and I cannot change it.
“No misfortune is seen in Jacob,
no misery observed in Israel.
The LORD their God is with them;
the shout of the King is among them.”
If you have followed my blog forever, I wrote a post a few years ago about the “Shout of a King”.
Today I had a nice little drive out to Lockhart (about 25 miles through farmland). The land is looking bleak. Farmers are starting to chop down the dried out corn plants…no corn this year due to the complete lack of rain. The cotton seems to be doing okay but in general the fields look like it is the dead of winter. It rained a little yesterday but that is the first rain we’ve had in a while. Tanks, ponds, creeks and rivers are dried up. Earlier this week we were out in Harper, Texas which is prime ranching and farming country. Our friend told us that this drought is actually worse than in the 1930s (think The Great Depression) but people haven’t really noticed how bad it is because now we have the means to truck in hay and feed for the livestock.
I found myself praying for rain once again. We not only need physical rain, we need spiritual rain; a soaking rain. We have been feeling it in our finances; like something has been damning up what God has stored up for us. I began canceling the plans of the enemy in our lives. Then I began to cancel curses that have been spoken over/against us. God brought the story of Balaam to my memory.
Balaam was asked and offered payment to curse Israel but God said they could NOT be cursed for there was a shout of THE King among them. No matter what anyone says about us, just call on Him, Jesus, the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Keep shouting for your King. You cannot be cursed when you are shouting and worshiping and praising the King. Don’t give up! God has not cursed you. His storehouse is full for you…it contains treasures you cannot contain. When the Bible says there will be blessings poured out that we cannot contain. (See Malachi 3:10). That means that we will over-flow with so many blessings that even those around us will be blessed. God doesn’t bless us just for us; He blesses so we can bless others.
Sure there may be some naysayers, some skeptics and even those who speak against you.
No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD. -Isaiah 54:17
Condemn the words spoken against you and shout to the King!
When there is a shout of the King among you, you cannot be cursed! It doesn’t matter what anyone else says or does. You cannot curse (no one can curse) what God has blessed.
