Thinking about some friends today who are in messy situation.  I see both sides of what is going on and from where I stand, there are stones being thrown.  Mostly one party is throwing stones at the other party and that party is “taking it” because that party believes the stones are deserved.

Deserved or not, it has made me think about the story of Jesus and the woman who was caught in adultery.  The religious (or self-righteous people) brought her out to the public square, to Jesus and they reminded Him of the the requirements of the law.  His response was to bend down and write in the dirt but they demanded an answer this is what He said, “He raised Himself up and said to them, ‘He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.'”  (John 8:7).  Then He continued writing in the dirt.  Some surmise He wrote the hidden sins of her accusers but the Bible doesn’t say for sure.

My advise to you today… Put down that rock and get on your knees.  Nothing has ever been solved by throwing stones but every situation has worked out that has been saturated in prayer.   Get your relationship with God where it should be and He will work all of this out for His glory and for your good.  Look at where you are and what you have done and what your part in all of this has been.  You have chosen to be a victim.  You have chosen to manipulate, demand, guilt, seek your own way,  NOT FORGIVE, and NOT LOVE.  You are not innocent in all of this.
