Declarations

Standard

I am still listening to the Orange Revival from Elevation Church.  Normally, I just listen to the podcasts.  This is a great message so I am sharing a link.  Elevation Church graciously shared (for Free)  each night’s service.  I haven’t listened to all of these messages yet but Joyce Meyer’s message and Christine Caine’s messages are worth taking the time to listen to as well.

Orange Conference Craig Groeschel

At the end of this message, Craig Groeschel shares a list of declarations that he says each morning.  These are good, so I am typing them up.

  • Jesus is first in my life.
  • I love my spouse and will lay down my life to serve her/him.
  • My children will love God and serve Him with their whole hearts.
  • I will nurture, equip, train and empower them to do more for His kingdom than they can think or imagine.
  • I love people and believe the best about others.
  • I am disciplined.
  • Christ in me is stronger than the wrong desires in me.
  • I am growing closer to Jesus every day.
  • Because of Jesus my family is closer, by body is stronger, my faith is deeper, and my leadership is sharper.
  • I am anointed, empowered and equipped to reach people far from God.
  • I am creative, innovative, driven, blessed beyond measure because the Holy Spirit dwells within me.
  • I develop leaders.  It is not what I do, it is who I am.
  • My thoughts and imaginations are under the power of Christ.  I take thoughts captive to be obedient to Christ.
  • I wake up with purpose, direction, and meaning every day of my life.
  • Pain is my friend.  I rejoice in suffering because Christ suffered for me.
  • I bring my best and then some.  It is what happens after my best that glorifies God.
  • The world will be different and better because I serve Jesus today.

I have been thinking about a 90 day challenge our pastor put forward on Sunday.   Making some declarations (maybe these or some version of these) would be a good place to start.

He ended his message by having us say, “Let me see what God can do through me.”  The message meshed so well with our pastor’s (Harry Fleming, City Chapel at Slaughter Creek click on the link to listen) message on Sunday.  Sometimes the small changes we make in our lives lead to the biggest changes.  Let’s do something and “let’s see what God can do through us.”

Unusual Favor Declaration – by Rev Buddy Rattray

2010 – A Year of Unusual Favor

I believe that we are entering a season of unusual favor from God.  During this season God will make us the head and not the tail; the lender and not the borrower.  We will be like a tree planted by the river of life, bring forth the fruit of the Spirit and whatever we do shall prosper.  During this time it won’t matter what comes against us, because God is for us.

This is the day and the year that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.  He will give us the garment of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, failing spirit.  He will give us beauty for ashes; the oil of joy for mourning.

God will throw open the windows of blessing on us.  He will open doors of opportunity before us.  He will open His hand of favor over our lives and it will be obvious to all.  His ears will be open to our prayers.  So, we will ask without doubting; we will seek without wavering, & we will knock without quitting.

We will not use this opportunity for ourselves alone, but we will bless those around us as we are being blessed.  We believe God for opportunities to do what seems impossible because nothing is impossible for Him.  He is the debt-forgiving, forgiveness-giving, prison-door opening, blind-eye healing, dead man-raising, bondage-breaking, demon-driving answer to our needs!  He is the walking, talking Year of Jubilee!

Therefore, we will believe and do all that He says to us.  We will not hold back, shrink back or fall back.  We will forget what is behind, banish fear and doubt, and walk in confidence expecting to see the favor of God in this coming year.

Declarations

Standard

Last night I was working on a project for one of the ministries at church.  I liked it so I thought I would share.

To Declare mean to make known formally, officially, or explicitly: to make clear: to make evident: to state emphatically: affirm: to announce; to make a declaration: to avow one’s opinion or support: to announce one’s intentions.

Why?

My tongue shall speak of Your word, For all Your commandments are righteousness.

Psalm 119:172

A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, But perverseness in it breaks the spirit.

Proverbs 15:4

This is why we sould speak positive declarations over our lives and the lives of those around us.  Because we hold the power of life and of death in our tongues.

Declare the Word of God over yourself!

She opens her mouth with wisdom, And on her tongue is the law of kindness.

Proverbs 31:26

I open my mouth with wisdom and on my tongue is the law of kindness

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11

God has good thoughts toward me to give me a hope and a future.

And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten…

Joel 2:25

God is a restorer.  He will restore my wasted years.

Read Psalm 139

God planned me.  He knew me in my mother’s womb.  Even if my mother did not plan me, God did.  His thoughts toward me are precious.

When my father and my mother forsake me, Then the LORD will take care of me.

Psalm 27:10

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you”

Hebrews 13:5

Even when my family forsakes me, God is with me.  He will never leave me nor forsake me.

What about you?  What promises from the Word are the most meaningful to you?
